1902/1932 – Medal 'Gouden beloningspenning van het Koninklijk Nederlandsch Meteorologisch Instituut aan gezagvoerders voor ingezonden scheepsjournalen' by J.C. Wienecke, struck at 's Rijks Munt (cp. Zw.351, cp. JCW.66a) - Obv. Diademed bust Wilhelmina left / Rev. Text within wreath: 'Aan …'; with engraved and red coloured name and date ‘N. HUISMAN 1932’ - gold 36 mm 29,43 gram - VF/XF - rare - NB Awarded by Royal decree of July 16, 1932 N°117 to Nantko Huisman, captain of the Rotterdamsche Lloyd, who made an adventurous journey with the S.S. Baloeran in 1931, when the ship had collided with the British ‘Silverbeech’ (see Algemeen Handelsblad 20-4-1931). Comlete with colorful KNMI-certificate dated September 2, 1932 (35x45 cm). In 1933 Huisman was also appointed officer in the Belgian Order of Leopold II by Decree of June 27, 1933, a certificate of which is included (some foxing, wear and tear). Also added are Huisman's certificate from the Zeevaartschool in Rotterdam (1905) and his membership card of the Rotterdam Gezagvoerdersclub for 1940. Spendid ensemble! (5x)
