Genius of Medicine with open book, collecting water pouring from a rock to quench a sick girl's thirst - bronze 65 mm 130.99 g in box - aXF - Very rare - NB From the estate of Karl Axel Hampus Mörner (1854-1917), former member of the Swedish Academy of Sciences, member of the board that worked out the regulations of the Nobel Foundation and then president of the medical Nobelcomité on behalf of the Kalolinska Institutet. Lindberg's dies for the Nobel Medal were completed in 1902. According to L.O. Lagerqvist 'Nobel Medals' a few copies in silver, silver gilt and bronze were struck for museums and collectors c. 1902 by the Swedish Mint.
