A large ancient Pre Columbian Olmec green stone figurine. A standing figure in a simple pose with straight legs and arms straight down. The bald flat topped head and elongated ears with almond shaped eyes and downturned lips were very characteristic of the stone figurines of the Olmec civilization. Comes with a stand. Olmec motifs were widespread in the centuries from 1000 to 500 BC, showing a consistency of style and subject throughout nearly all of Mesoamerica. H 42 cm.
