AV Ducat 1754 Westfrisia with a contempoary false c/m 'Java' (Ref.: Scho. 438h; Passon 19.3; Fr.7) - 3.48 gram - From the Placard of 8 January 1760 it appears that Ducats with a false countermark had also been brought in circulation. By order of the home authorities of the Company the stamping of the Ducats was stopped in 1761. _x000D_ Remark: Not encapsulated by NGC, because of ‘NO DECISION’ therefore sold as it is, no return. The reservation by NGC is correct as the countermark proves to be a contemporary counterfeit (as referred to in the Placard of 8 Janauary 1760), the host coin however is perfectly genuine - VF+
