AE ½ Rasi-stiver (5.70 g.), Obv.: A human figure resembling Kali / rev.: An horizontal J, surmounted by two dots obliquely placed (a special characteristic of these stivers), below 13 dots in four lines 4,4,4,1. Rasi was the name for a type of gold fanam struck on the Malabar Coast. The Rasi type gold fanam was, from 1666 onwards, struck by the VOC at Cochin.
