Two Chinese blue and white deep plates decorated to the centre with a scene of a female figure with a fan in her hand presenting a flower to a seated female figure with a young boy, all within a fenced garden scene with peony issuing from open rockwork, the cavetto with a repeating swirling decoration, the rim with shaped pommegranates and ruyi heads separated by floral sprays, China, Qianlong period (1736-1795). -D. 24 cm, rim frits and some chips, one with repair to the rim, glaze scratches-
