WWII, Japanese officers sword, Shin-Gunto, with inscription of maker underneath handle, with leather covered scabbard, sword came from the estate of former KNIL officer and later Colonel "D. de Iongh, 1918-2010, drager Bronzen Kruis", who fought against the Japanese invasion in 1942, was taken as a POW, and postwar served in the Dutch-Indies again until 1949, in used condition, most likely "Battle field pick-up", overall interesting item
