(The Great Mirror of Folly), Amsterdam, 1720 (or later), Folio, full gilt-tooled mottled calf binding. Seems to be complete with 75 plates counted (some folding), however, the plates do not all correspond to the list of plates. Should be examined in person! The Tafereel adapts many Dutch texts and prints that came out on the theme of economic bubbles and speculative mania. -Overall very nice condition with the exception that two sections of the plate ‘By veele zit de Key in ‘t hooft…’ cut out, some pages discoloured- A rare book that should be examined in person!
