A Chinese porcelain dish with wide everted lobed rim decorated in underglaze blue, the whole depicting an aquatic scene with crab, fish and water plants, the base with a stylised 'shou' character with in a double blue ring. The shape derives from a European silver model and was also made in Delft faience. An identical dish is in the Dresden collection of Augustus the Strong and bears inventory mark N 410 zigzag line.
