A rare moulded Chinese porcelain cup and saucer decorated in famille verte enamels and iron red, the cup with floral design to the interior, the exterior with 3 boys and peony amidst folliage, the base marked with a hare within a double blue circle, the saucer with a central scene of a bird perched on a rock amidst peony and insects hovering above, the cavetto with auspicious symbols, the rim with four cartouches enclosing flowers divided by geometric patterns, the base marked with a flower within a double blue ring. An identical cup is in the British Museum, catalogue number: Franks.359.a , acquired in 1876.
