Lot 395

A Japanese short sword or Wakizashi. The Edo period blade of shinogi-zukuri, chu-kissaki, iori mune, naka-zori (1.8 cm) and a possibly suguha-hamon. The ubu nakago with one mekugi-ana is signed ‘Bizen ju Masanori’ and ends in ha-agari-kurijiri. The koshirae with a black lacquered and aogai sprinkled saya, the tsuka with black lacquered leather binding over same and a round iron tsuba decorasted with butterflies.
