Signed Nara school Tsuba, Japan, 19th century. A brass surface in mokko shape, decorated with shakudo and gilt bronze plovers near a shoreline with shakudo pines. The rim covered with a shakudo edge and signed ‘Nara Shigeharu saku’ (made by Shigeharu from Nara), the seppadai with sekigane. Height: 6.8 cm, Thickness: 3.8 mm
