The pierced iron maru-gata tsuba is decorated with four phoenixes surrounding an itomaki design with heart-shaped (inome or boar’s eye) openings, set within a slightly rounded rim. Details in usu-niku-bori, ryo-hitsu-ana and left unsigned. Diameter: 8 cm, Thickness: 4.8 mm
