Extracted from Philippe de Segur's 'La Campagne de Russie 1812', this work extracting the text relating to Napoleon, his rise and fall during his doomed siege of Russia.Most of the paintings reproduced in this work were in the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. Illustrated by various artists, including Charlet, Doou, Gerard, Kossak, Matvieff, and more.
