A silver pocket watch from Norton Londen (1790). The watch has a double silver casing and a white decorated dial with Roman numerals. On the dial there are four elements: the sail ship for sea travels; the fort for the conquests; the fisherman for a plentiful harvest; the house for peace and quiet. Hallmarks indicate it is sterling silver (lion passant), made by a silversmith who was part of a guild. The sovereign's head hallmark indicates that it was made in between 1784 and 1890.
