Borneo (Kalimantan), He-shun gongsi Federation (1776-1854) in the Montrado region, tin/lead Gongsi cash (7.47 g.) Indonesia, Borneo, Da Gang, 1822-1854, tin/lead gongsi cash (6.71 g.), Montrado region. Da Gang Gong Si / He Shun (referring to the He Shun Gongsi Federation), written in the so called "Kaishu" script. After several wars the independence of the He Shun Gongsi Federation ended with the surrender of the Da Gang Gongsi to the Dutch in July, 1854. Borneo (Kalimantan), He-shun gongsi Federation (1776-1854) in the Montrado region. Large tin/lead local Gongsi cash (42.53 g.; 44 mm.), produced between 1780 - 1808 and circulated until 1819. Obv.: He Shun Gong Si, Chinese countermarks on the rim, representing the 14 different Gongsis / rev.: corrupt Manchu inscription. In 1776 the 14 mining mining gongsis around Montrado, formed a federation known as He-shun. Around 1808 the He-shun federation originally consisting of 14 gongsis had dwindled to only seven members. Early in 1819 a quarrel arose between Da-gang and San-tiao-gou about the presidency of the He-shun federation, resulting in a withdrawal of the latter with its allies Shi-wu-fen and Tai-he. They settled north of the Selakau river, San-tiao-gou with its capital at Seminis and Shi-wu-fen at Loemar. The He-shun federation consisted thus of four gongsis. After the detection of a conspiracy of Keng-wei and Xin-wu together with San-tiao-gou against Da-gang, these He-shun gongsis were dissolved by Da-gang on 8 October 1837, leaving Da-gang now synonymous with He-shun in absolute power in Montrado until 1854. Sultanate of Boné, (Kesultanan Bone), Sultan Abdullah Mansur, 1721 – 1724, tin-lead pitis (1.69 g), Dar al-Salam, AH1136 // dar al-salam ("Abode of Peace"), date below // hadha / masruf ("This is money"). Clear inscriptions. Though anonymous, the coin is on account of fabric and provenance tentatively attributed to Sultanate of Boné. gVF for issue. RRR (ZENO 341256)

Sultanate of Boné, (Kesultanan Bone), Sultan Muhid al-Din, 1715-1718, tin-lead pitis (1.78 g.). Obv.: 65 Masruf haza al-Sultan Muhid al-Din (65 small money of the Sultan Muhid al-Din) / rev.: arim?) khaira wa saadateh/ date AH1128 (1716) "(Ariem?) His goodness and happiness". Newly reported date for this extremely rare issue, about good Fine. (ZENO 341213)

Different varieties and weights, some legends retrograde and showing only part of the complete legend: Obv.: “Sultan Zain al-'Abadin Mu'azam Shah / rev.: Malik Batu Bahar Sanat 1185”. Interesting lot of 6 coins, average VF for issue.
