Lion-slayer Type, AV dinara, 7.76 g, 19 mm, specific gravity 15.9. Obv.: Tall and lean king wearing moustache, stepping out energetically to our right, while shooting lion (largely off) on his right side. He wears tunic over long loin cloth, sash and ornate crown with pearl strings. The bowstring is well visible. Swirling clothes indicate energetic movement of the fight. First half of verse legend narendracandra[ḥ] prathitaraṇo raṇe jayatyajeyo bhuvi siṅhavikramaḥ in large letters, from I o’clock, ‘The moon among the kings, who is famous for his warfare, who is invincible, and who is valorous like a lion, is victorious on the battlefield’ / Rev.: Nimbate Śrī sits to front on lion reclining to left. She keeps left knee raised, while holding diadem fillet and lotus, with hand resting on knee. Śrī wears hip cloth and hair is tied into bun.
