Archer Type, AV dinara, 7.76 g, 18 mm, specific gravity 15.51. Obv.: Elegant, nimbate king with bow and arrow, standing on beaded lotus (off the flan) next to a Garuḍa banner. He wears cap, tunic with plaques over loin cloth, and ornamental leggings. Circular legend devaśrīmahārājādhirāja-śrīcandraguptaḥ, ‘The noble Deva, the Great Overlord of kings, the noble Candragupta’, from I o’clock, first half well legible. Beneath the left arm candra / Rev.: Nimbate Śrī, with dotted curls, seated with folded legs flat on a lotus. She holds double-curved diadem fillet and lotus with her hand on knee. A pleated hip cloth covers her thighs. In the right field the epithet śrīvikkrama, ‘Noble Valour (personified)’ (Raven 1994a:334-336 (Var. II.7.1); Kumar 2017/2024: Var.
