50 Stuivers 1807 with name of engraver GEORGE F on truncation (Sch. 148 /RR) - a.UNC - This coin was donated by the King at the New Year's reception on 1 January 1808 in Utrecht to the ladies present - The die of this coin was later slightly changed by engraver A.J. van der Monde and with this the next 50 Stuiver piece was minted: that of 1808, the only silver coin of Louis Napoleon that was actually in circulation and was common (mintage: over 2.4 pcs.) - The specimen of 1807, on the other hand, has a mintage of only 300 pcs. - cleaned - NGC AU Details (8358847-004) - RR - very rare
