Pattern 20 Stuivers Louis Napoleon struck in silver (Sch. 141 / RRRR / LSch.167 R4) by J.G. Holtzhey - Obv. Bust of the King to right surrounded by the legend 'LODEWYK de EERSTE KONING van HOLL'. RRRR - OF THE HIGHEST RARITY, with an attractive colourful cabinet toning! - NGC MS62 - Cert. # 8361713-006 - According to the accompanying collector's ticket, this coin was obtained at an auction of J. Schulman in 1962 for a hefty 650 Gulden! The famous medallist Johan Georg Holtzhey was approached in 1807 to create designs for a 50 Stuiver, a 20 Stuiver and a 10 Stuiver piece. Because Holtzhey was nearly blind, some of the work was done by his assistant David van der Kellen Sr., the engraver who later designed the change for William I., ex collection Vinkenborg
