This coin is one of the great rarities within the categorie of Dutch Kingdom numismatics. According to the accompanying collector’s ticket, Mr. Vinkenborg purchased this piece from J. Schulman in 1969 for a hefty 675 Gulden. Although many of the great collectors, both within and outside of The Netherlands, tried to obtain it, this Gold Ducat was missing in most collections: Joop Berkman, Lodewijk S. Beuth and Virgil M.
