Lot 4117

An interesting lot 'Byzantine Histamenon Nomisma's of Michael VII Ducas' (1071-1078, Christ Pantocrator facing / Bust of Michael facing, Sear 1868), all REPLICAS without gold, all the same fabric method and forms, an intriguing set of appr. 165 pieces. This 'hoard' is estimated/sold for an amount of FL 82.500,= old Dutch Guilders (!) (small hand written note included). All 'coins' are covered with old 'hoard patina', making this a decorative set for in every collection or display cabinet!
