1779 - Medal 'Ereprijs van het Genootschap Enchusana te Enkhuizen' by J.C. Marmé (?) (VvL.541) - Obv. The City Maiden of Enkhuizen sitting between symbols of prosperity, in the background four men erecting a fallen column / Rev. Six-line poem above cartouche with founding date / on edge no inscription - silver 50 mm 59,96 gram - aXF, slightly polished - NB Johannes Conradus Marmé died in Kleve on August 1, 1772 (RKD, JMP 98 (2012) blz. 143, etc.); this medal from 1779 as well as that of the Haagsche Teeken Akademie from 1780 (VvL.550) bear the signature I.C.M., while the dates of foundation of both institutions are certain: it is unclear who this medalist is.
