As the visual observation of the coin may suspect a different metal, the specific weight of the coin of 8.8 and a XRF test which reveals a composition of 98.31% copper, 1.03 % iridium & 0.423 % silver, proves that it must be silver washed copper rather than plated, as suggested by NGC. Nevertheless curious - VF/XF
